Two checks at once
When two pieces give check in the same move, capturing or blocking is hopeless — you can never remove both threats at once; only a king move answers. Your horse on e7 masks the chariot on e4: move the front piece away with a check of its own and both fires open at the same time. Mind the advisor on d9 — it suddenly becomes a jailer, blocking its own king's flight square. Spring the double check.
