◇ Just read — no move neededHigh, low, bottom
In enemy land, depth has names. A HIGH pawn (高兵) — still a rank or more from the back rank — keeps every lane open to it. A LOW pawn (低兵) on the eighth rank must choose its last steps with care. A BOTTOM pawn (底兵) on the very last rank threatens almost nothing: it can only shuffle sideways forever. Spend a soldier's depth wisely — it can never be refunded.
