◇ Just read — no move neededSmall pieces, big arithmetic
By points, three pawns (3) should lose to two advisors and two elephants (8). The board says otherwise: the defenders cannot move. Each advisor or elephant that steps out opens a gate; each one that stays is frozen by a pawn aimed at its diagonal. The winning method is patient: the two wing pawns walk toward the palace corners, forcing the defenders to choose between jamming their own pieces and abandoning a door — and the central pawn waits for the door to open.
